Instruction of Filament

Ⅰ.About Us

We are a company from Shenzhen, China, focusing on 4D printing products. We have devoted ourselves to the research of SMP for more than 20 years, obtained several international patents, and published more than 100 SCI papers.

Ⅱ.What’s a 4D Printing

4D printing adds a new one-dimensional variable on the basis of 3D printing, such as time. The three-dimensional shape of smart materials can change with time, which is a new additive manufacturing technology. 4D printing products can change with time according to the pre-designed time axis, and the three-dimensional shape can change automatically to realize self-assembly. You can deform the sample at will, when the temperature of the sample reaches above 60°C. And when the sample cooled below 30°C, he maintained this effect until the temperature rose to 60°C again.

Ⅲ. Precautions for use

  1. The recommended nozzle printing temperature is 220℃-230℃, note that the nozzle temperature should not be lower than 200℃ and not higher than 250℃, otherwise there will be a risk of clogging the nozzle, etc.
  2. It is recommended that the printing base plate temperature is 55℃-60℃, note that the base plate temperature should not be lower than 40℃ and should not be higher than 80℃, otherwise it will aggravate the sample warping and drawing phenomenon.
  3. Before use, please check whether the packaging is sealed. If there is air leakage, please place the filament in an oven below 60℃ Celsius for more than 6 hours.
  4. To prevent filament from absorbing water, please store unused filament in dry and light-avoiding conditions. If the filament appear wire drawing during printing, please place them in an oven below 60℃ Celsius for more than 6 hours.
  5. The printed 4D sample can be deformed by raising its temperature to above 60℃. Deformation of the sample below this temperature may cause it to break.
  6. The overall temperature of the part to be deformed must be uniformly warmed to above 50℃, otherwise the sample will not show the shape memory performance due to local overcooling, and may even lead to fracture.
  7. Please do not raise the temperature above 80℃ when drying and thermoplastic deformation, to prevent burns and may cause the filament to be analyzed.
  8. Before starting the printing operation, please clean the printing plate. We recommend using mild detergents such as laundry liquid, alcohol, etc. Finally, rinse and dry with water.
  9. For the first time printing, we recommend you to choose our pre-designed models, and the related files can be found and downloaded for free on our official website as well as YouTube, Facebook and other streaming media.
